Fleas bite the skin of your pets, causing irritation and itchiness. In some cases, your pet may have a severe reaction to the fleas or the fleas may carry diseases. Flea prevention is often the ideal course of action for puppy and kitten care, as a lot of the treatments available can be too strong for very young animals.

The Importance of Wellness Exams for Preventing Fleas

Dr. Garza recommends that most pets have teeth cleanings here in our offices at least one time per year, normally at the time of their yearly checkup. Other pets may need more frequent teeth cleanings, generally at six month intervals. We at East El Paso Animal Hospital are equipped to perform digital dental x-rays so that we can be sure of any dental problems or issues prior to the dental procedure.

During our pet dental procedure, we will remove plaque and tartar buildup from your pet's teeth, and will do necessary extractions. Finally, we will polish and fluoride your pet's teeth and give your beloved pet the bright shining -- and clean -- grin that they deserve.
