Dr. Garza was raised in El Paso and attended Eastwood High School. He attended Texas A&M University and received a bachelors degree in Biomedical Science and another in Veterinary Science.

He received his DVM in 1982. After practicing a year in Hobbs New Mexico, he came back home and worked for three years as an associate veterinarian in a mixed practice here in El Paso. In 1986 he founded East El Paso Animal Hospital, and has been serving the El Paso Community ever since. During his spare time he enjoys working on his fruit trees and fishing.

Dr. Carlyn Jean Duchouquette

Dr. Carlyn Jean Duchouquette is our newest veterinarian at East El Paso Animal Hospital. She is a recent graduate of Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a native El Pasoan and graduated from Eastwood High School and UTEP. Her three pets are Fidelis (pug mix), Maximus (kitten), and Swirl (Husky). In her spare time, Dr. Duchouquette likes running, Zumba, yoga and reading.

Dr. Luis A. Terrazas

Dr. Luis A. Terrazas attended Texas A&M University where he earned his DVM in May 2007.  After graduation, he did an equine medicine & surgery internship at Equine Sports Medicine & Surgery, Frontera Division in Sunland Park, NM. 

He also holds a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science from New Mexico State University (2003) and an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology from Sul Ross State University (2000).  Dr. Terrazas enjoys all aspects of his challenging profession and believes client interactions & education are pivotal to improving animal health.  In his spare time, Dr. Terrazas enjoys spending time with his family and improving his golf game.
