Healthy Pets Start with Good Puppy and Kitten Care
Open since 1986, East El Paso Animal Hospital has been providing quality and compassionate care for your animal companions. As a full-service facility, our staff of veterinarians offers comprehensive care that includes pet vaccinations, pet spay and neuter, pet dental along with boarding
and grooming services. Our experienced veterinarians look forward to caring for your pet from puppy and kitten care through pet senior care. In addition to companion animals, we offer expertise in treating horses.Puppies and Kittens
For a healthy, happy life, your pet should start out with proper puppy and kitten care. Puppies and kittens have very different health and nutrition needs than adult pets. Veterinary care starts with giving your little one a complete physical exam, allowing the veterinarian to make sure he or she is on track for healthy growth. Your puppy or kitten will receive the required pet vaccinations and we will advise you on proper feeding, grooming and pet dental care.
Pet Spay and Neuter
With homeless cat and dog populations filling animal shelters, it is more important than ever to spay and neuter your pet. Our veterinarians suggest that all vaccinations be current, and ideally the procedure can be done between four to six months of age. Beyond preventing unwanted kittens and puppies, there are health reasons for spaying and neutering. Females especially are more prone to breast cancer and diseases of the reproductive system if not spayed.
Pet Dental
Veterinary science has really progressed in the field of pet dental care. Your veterinarian advises having your pet’s teeth examined at least once a year at their yearly physical exam. Some pets require six-month check-ups. Here at our East El Paso Animal Hospital, we offer digital dental x-rays and are fully equipped to provide comprehensive dental services.
Pet Senior Care
Our pet senior animal companions are living longer, enjoying good health as seniors. But senior pets, like puppies and kittens have special health and care needs. Older pets often tend to be less active which can lead to obesity, causing a number of health concerns like diabetes. Arthritis can develop in senior pets from the wear and tear on their joints that comes with age.
Pet Boarding and Grooming
Because we know you hate to leave your furry friends when on vacation, but we are able to offer comfortable boarding for your pets. They will receive the attention and care they need while you are away. Although many pet owners take care of their pet grooming needs at home, we offer full grooming services, including nail care.
Diagnostic Tests and Surgery
Because we are a full-service facility, our El Paso veterinarians can perform many diagnostic tests, like x-rays and lab work. We can do many do surgeries on site as well. For your peace of mind, we also provide emergency services if and when you and your pet need us.
East El Paso Animal Hospital is ready to support all of your veterinary needs. Walk-ins are welcome or call us today to schedule an appointment. We look forward to seeing you and your pet!
